Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 8 Aug.'08 / 12:15

Four attack aircraft breeched Georgian airspace at about 11:30am local time on August 8 and dropped a bomb outside Gori, Eka Zguladze, the Georgian deputy interior minister, said.

The bomb exploded in a non-populated area and no one was injured, she said.

The incident came just an hour after three aircraft, apparently SU-24 Fencers, violated Georgian airspace and bombed an area close to a police station in Kareli, and Variani village, also in Kareli. Seven people were slightly injured, Zguladze said.
