Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 23 Jul.'05 / 13:32

Position of the Georgian Public Broadcasting’s General-Director remains vacant as the nine-member Board of public television failed to choose from four candidates on July 23.

“None of the four candidates could garner at least five votes of the Board members, necessary for [winning a race],” Levan Tarkhnishvili, chairman of the Board, said at a news conference on Saturday. The Board will announce new competition.
