In an information note issued on July 25 the Russian Foreign Ministry denied Georgia’s allegations about involvement of Russian intelligence services in a car bomb explosion in Gori in February, which resulted to death of three policemen. “The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs deems it necessary to state, that the Russian side has nothing to do with this terrorist act. Persons, whose names were listed in the information of the Georgian Interior Ministry has never been in Russia’s official structures,” the information note reads. “Moscow is convinced that these kinds of insinuations do not serve normalization of situation in South Ossetia, as well as further development Russian-Georgian relations,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stated. |
