Georgia Condemns Iran's Anti-Israel Statement

The Georgian Foreign Ministry convened the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia Hossein Aminian Tousi on October 28 and condemned Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s call for Israel to be wiped off the map.

“The Georgian side underlined the princpled position of Georgia, which consists of complying with the universally acknowledged international principles and norms, including non-use of violence and rejection of threat or use of force,” reads an information note issued by the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
