Georgian Energy Minister Visits Iran

After visiting Azerbaijan, Georgian Energy Minister Nika Gilauri headed to Iran for talks over receiving a possible gas supply via Azerbaijan, Chief of the Georgian President’s Administration Giorgi Arveladze said on January 26.

This is Nika Gikauri’s second visit to Tehran over the past week.

Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki on January 24, during which the latter “offered the Georgian side a supply of gas until the crisis is eliminated,” according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
