PM Speaks of Economic Growth

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said at a government session on June 8 that during the first five months of 2006 about 70 thousand new jobs were created and over 30 thousand new enterprises registered in the country.
 
“Statistical data show that compared with the similar period of 2005, the turnover of enterprises increased by 30% for the first five months of this year,” the Prime Minister said.
 
He also noted that salary fund of the private enterprises increased up to GEL 590 million against GEL 450 million for the five months of 2005.
