Jondi Bagaturia, a leading activist from the radical opposition Labor Party, said on December 4 that he is quitting the party because of disagreements with the party leader Shalva Natelashvili.

He said he could not agree with Natelashvili on a “number of strategic issues.” Bagaturia also said he plans to form a new political party to focus on the “restoration of social equality.”
