PM Speaks of Kuwait Visit

Georgia is seeking Kuwaiti investments in the construction of the country’s major high-speed highway and new hydro power plant, Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli told reporters on February 17.

PM Nogaideli launched a two-day visit to Kuwait on February 17. Talks with officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development and Kuwaiti Investment Authority are planned.

“We are rather optimistic about the implementation of the [Kuwaiti] investments projects,” Georgian Prime Minister told reporters.

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, accompanied by head of the government of the Adjara Autonomous Republic Levan Varshalomidze, visited Dubai to discuss economic cooperation issues with officials of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 15.
