President Saakashvili said on February 23 that he has “full confidence” in Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli and his cabinet.

Speaking at a news conference on Friday evening with journalists from Tbilisi and regional media outlets, Saakashvili noted that the professionalism of the government has significantly increased.

“PM Nogaideli enjoys my full confidence. We have record high revenues in these two months [of 2007] against the background of decreased tax rates… We have large-scale infrastructure development… including the large-scale construction of road infrastructure… And this is only the beginning,” Saakashvili said.

“The government has a full mandate of confidence… You have noticed that there are fewer and fewer reshuffles in the cabinet. Of course no one has immunity. If someone fails to do his job he will be replaced… Today I am optimistic and believe that this cabinet is capable of handing our major tasks,” he added.
