Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 2 Mar.'07 / 17:52

Citizens from five Arab Gulf states - the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman will be able to visit Georgia for up to 90 days without a visa, according to amendments to the law passed by the Parliament on March 2.

The decision comes after the Georgian leadership announced its desire to attract investments from the UAE and Kuwait.

The Parliament has also eased visa requirements for the citizens of South Korea in the same amendment.

Georgia already has similar visa rules for citizens from EU-member states, the United States, Japan, Canada, Israel, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Vatican, San-Marino, Lichtenstein and Turkey.
