Salome Zourabichvili, ex-foreign minister and leader of opposition Georgia’s Way party, has said Tbilisi’s policy towards South Ossetia, involving the promotion of alternative leader Dimitri Sanakoev, would do nothing to resolve the conflict. Zourabichvili's remarks put her at odds with the accepted political position on this issue; not only the government, but even the major opposition parties, all support promotion of Sanakoev. |
