President Saakashvili officially opened a new terminal in Batumi airport on May 26. The new terminal, near the Turkish border, was constructed by the Turkish firm, Tepe-Akfen-Vie (TAV). TAV also built the new terminal at Tbilisi airport. It manages both airports. The new terminal in Batumi, with a total area of 3,915 square meters, will be capable of handling 600,000 passengers per year. |
