Deputy Chief Prosecutor Becomes ECHR Judge

Nona Tsotsoria, the Georgian deputy chief prosecutor, has become a judge to the Strasbourg-based European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

She was among 12 new judges elected by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on October 2.

Tsotsoria, who will assume her new duties starting from February 1, 2008, has a six-year term.
