Gela Bezhuashvili, the Georgian Foreign Minister, held a phone conversation with his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to discuss the recent developments in Georgia on November 9, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said. On November 8 the German Foreign Minister said in a statement: “I am concerned about the escalation of the situation in Georgia, most particularly the imposition of a state of emergency yesterday evening and the closure of several TV and radio networks.” |
