Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 8 Aug.'08 / 18:58

In an interview with BBC World this evening President Saakashvili has ruled out possibility of withdrawal of Georgian troops from breakaway South Ossetia.

When asked by an anchor if he was ready to pull out forces from South Ossetia, Saakashvili replied rhetorically asking: “Pull forces from out of the Georgian territory?”

“This is Georgian territory and we need to have immediate ceasefire; I am willing to have international mediation; I am willing to have international separation of forces; we have to establish normal regime under international supervision.”
