In a brief statement released on August 26, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that Ankara “attaches importance to the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and is highly concerned about the recent developments.”

“Turkey is of the opinion that this conflict should be resolved through peaceful means,” the statement reads.
