Russian Troops Withdraw from Poti
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 13 Sep.'08 / 10:15

Russian troops vacated two outposts at the outskirts of a port town of Poti on Saturday morning, officials and local journalists said.

Russia has undertaken a commitment under the agreement signed on September 8 to withdraw from all five checkpoints “on a line from Poti to Senaki” within a maximum of one week.

Reports say that withdrawal preparations were underway on one of the three remaining outposts at the village Pirveli Maisi.
