A car bomb exploded outside the offices of the Abkhaz security services overnight on September 25. No casualties were reported, according to Apsnypress news agency.

“Obviously, it was a terrorist act aimed at thwarting the upcoming celebration of 15 years of our independence, with many guests expected,” Stanislav Lakoba, the secretary of the Abkhaz National Security Council, told Apsnypress. 

The secessionist authorities plan to celebrate so-called Independence Day on September 30.
