Labor Party Says Plans Talks with Russian Political Circles

Shalva Natelashvili, leader of the opposition Labor Party said on November 17, that his party was willing to launch a dialogue with “political circles” in Russia to help restore ties between the two countries.

“The political committee of the Georgian Labor Party has made a decision to immediately launch a dialogue with the Russian political circles to start a process of restoration of the country’s territorial integrity and to stop the ongoing trend of disintegration of Georgia,” Natelashvili said at a press conference.

He also said that he wanted to discuss related with restoration of economic and trade ties between the two countries with the Russian politicians. He also said that he would try to engage in talks with political parties represented in the Russia’s lower house of the parliament, as well as with the Russian Foreign Ministry.
