Saakashvili: Ultimatums Unacceptable
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 31 Jan.'09 / 11:51

President Saakashvili said “the language of ultimatum” would not work while dealing with his administration.

“We should have a permanent dialogue even with the smallest group of the society,” he told the government members on January 30. “It, however, does not mean that someone should speak with us in the language of ultimatum – nobody will be able to set ultimatums to us – but dialogue is vitally important.”

About a dozen of opposition parties signed a joint declaration on January 29 calling for President Saakashvili’s resignation and hodling of early presidential and parliamentary elections.
