Georgia expressed protest over “provocative military maneuvers” of the Russian navy on the Black Sea.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on April 11, that about two dozen of Russian military vessels were maneuvering “in an immediate vicinity of Georgia.”

It said that “formally” Russia claims its military vessels were en-route from Sevastopol to Novorossiysk

“Actions of this type by the Russian side serve to extremely aggravate situation existing in respect of Georgia and to provoke destabilization,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
