Valdas Adamkus, the Lithuanian outgoing President, pays a working visit to Georgia on June 23.

“Our guest [referring to the Lithuanian President] is a person, who has been fighting against Communism and the occupant who is now camped on our land during his entire life,” President Saakashvili said at a ceremony of opening Vilnius Square in Tbilisi.

“Georgia, together with its friends, will continue its struggle for full de-occupation and for eventual strengthening and cementing of our freedom and independence,” he said and thanked Lithuania for strong support to Georgia, especially during the August war.
