MIA Reports Blast at S.Ossetian Administrative Border

A Georgian police pickup, which was on a routine patrol, hit a mine close to the village of Dvani of Kareli district at 10:30am local time on September 24, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported. The village is located in an immediate vicinity of the administrative border with breakaway South Ossetia. No one was injured in the incident.

The incident occurred ahead of the fifth meeting planned by the Georgian, South Ossetian and Russian sides in Ergneti in frames of incident prevention and response mechanism, facilitated by EU Monitoring Mission.
