Irakli Alasania, leader of Alliance for Georgia, said he was “skeptical” about the need of holding preliminary elections or primaries among the opposition parties to select a single opposition candidate for Tbilisi mayoral race. He told Tbilisi-based FM radio station, Palitra, on December 8 that he saw “no resources for appropriately holding of primaries.” He also said that he was ready to cooperate with other opposition parties “to improve electoral environment” in the country. |
