EU-Georgia Human Rights Dialogue Planned

EU and Georgia officials will meet next week in Brussels for a second session of EU-Georgia human rights dialogue.

Deputy Foreign Minister, Alexander Nalbandov, will be representing the Georgian side at the meeting scheduled for December 16, according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

Media freedom and internally displaced persons will be the focus of the planned meeting, according to European Commission delegation officails in Tbilisi.

These two issues – media and IDPs – were topics of discussions at EU-orgnized conference held in November in Tbilisi and aimed to identify key challanges in these two issues and recommendations to tackle them.
