Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 21 Jan.'10 / 17:02

Ex-PM Zurab Nogaideli, who now leads the opposition party Movement for Fair Georgia, said he met with Ukrainian businessmen as part of his efforts “to assist” Georgian “independent television stations.”

Nogaideli, who visited Ukraine on January 20, said the potential assistance involves “to technically equip” these TV stations.

He, however, declined to give details. Asked to specify which television stations he was referring to, Nogaideli responded: “You know which independent televisions in Georgia are.”

Nogaideli also said details would become known after the negotiations on the matter were over.
