Georgian Foreign Minister Visits Turkey

Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze is paying a two-day visit to Turkey on April 26-27, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.

During the visit FM Vashadze will hold talks with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoğlu and President Abdullah Gul, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.

“Turkey is one of the most important and strategic partners of Georgia. Besides political and friendly relations, we have specific trade relations with Turkey,” Nino Kalandadze, the Georgian deputy foreign minister, said on April 26. “All the major issues, including the cooperation in frames of international organizations, where we need Turkey’s active support, will be discussed.”
