Ukrainian governmental delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister, Sergey Tigipko, started two-day visit to Georgia on July 16.

“There is a need to give more pragmatism to Ukraine-Georgia relations with more focus on trade and economy,” Tigipko said in a statement ahead of the visit.

He said that Ukraine was interested in further development of bilateral ties with Georgia, which is “an important regional partner” of Ukraine.

He also said upon arrival in Tbilisi that the delegation would study Georgia’s experience of liberal economic reforms.

Talks with Georgian PM Nika Gilauri, Parliamentary Chairman Davit Bakradze, Finance Minister Kakha Baindurashvili and President of National Bank Giorgi Kadagidze are planned.
