Leaders of breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Sergey Bagapsh and Eduard Kokoity, respectively, will visit Nicaragua and Venezuela this week, Abkhazian and South Ossetian news agencies reported.

During the visit they will meet with Nicaraguan and Venezuelan Presidents, Daniel Ortega and Hugo Chavez, respectively.

It is also planned to sign the cooperation agreements during the visit.

Nicaragua followed Russia’s suit and recognized two breakaway regions as independent states in September, 2008, followed by Venezuela and Nauru a year later.
