PM: Economic Growth at least 5.5% in H1

The preliminary figures show economic growth was 5.5%-6% in the first half of 2010, Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said at a government’s session on August 20.
 
He said that exact figures would be unveiled in early September.
 
“The growth was observed in various sectors of economy; especially export and tourism sector have grown,” Gilauri said. “I want to stress, that number of visitors [of Georgia] increased by 33% compared to previous year.”
 
The Georgian government forecasts 4.5% economic growth in 2010.
