Investigation into Gudauta mosque attack in which one was killed and two others wounded, “is nearing its end”, newly appointed interior minister of breakaway Abkhazia, Leonid Dziapshba, said. “[Investigators] already know why this attack has occurred and who might be behind it,” Abkhaz news agency reported, quoting Dziapshba while speaking at a meeting with the Abkhaz lawmakers. He did not provide any further details. The breakaway region’s prosecutor's office said last week that the investigation into the October 8 attack was pursuing several potential lines of inquiry, including possible involvement of foreign radical Islamist groups or foreign intelligence services. |
