Inflation was 9.6% year-on-year in October, Georgian state statistics office said on November 5.

Annual inflation was 9.8% by the end of September.

The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) said in late October, when it increased key rate to 7.5%, that strict monetary policy was needed in order to put inflation within targeted figure of 6% in a mid-term period.
