Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 7 Dec.'10 / 18:17

The Parliament approved on December 7 a ruling party lawmaker, Lasha Tordia, on the post of the chairman of one of the leading parliamentary committees on human rights.

This position became vacant after a ruling party lawmaker Gia Arsenishvili died from a heart attack last month.

Before the new appointment MP Tordia served as the first deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee for legal affairs.
