Major TV Stations Ignore Break Up of Hunger Strike
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 4 Jan.'11 / 00:44

From New Year events to a protest rally in Moscow and other various developments abroad were all part of the major Georgian nationwide broadcasters' main news bulletins on January 3.

All three largest broadcasters - Rustavi 2, Imedi TV and public TV, however, have turned a blind eye on break up of hunger striker armed conflicts' veterans by the police in the Tbilisi center on January 3.

The story became a top news in Tbilisi-based Kavkasia TV's news bulletin; news coverage in another Tbilisi-based TV station, Maestro, remains suspended because of, as owners say, financial problems.
