Official: 'Criminal Case' will not Spoil Ties with Israel

Conviction of two Israeli businessmen will "not weaken strong ties" between Georgia and Israel, Manana Manjgaladze, a spokesperson for the Georgian President said on April 5.

"This is not an inter-state issue and it will be resolved in the court; at the same time we believe that criminal cases of this kind will not overshadow and weaken such strong ties, which have existed and exist between Georgia and Israel," she said..

She also said, that like any other convict the two Israeli citizens had the right to petition for pardon to the Georgian President.
