Georgian Deputy PM, Opposition Leader in The Hague

Giorgi Baramidze, the Georgian deputy PM and state minister for Euro-Atlantic integration, is in The Hague to speak at a conference on democracy in Georgia on May 10.

Irakli Alasania, leader of Our Georgia-Free Democrats opposition party, is also among the speakers at the same conference.

The seminar “Perceptions About Georgia: Leading or Losing the Struggle for Democracy” is hosted by Clingendael Institute and Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) with co-sponsorship from the Netherlands Foreign Ministry.

During his working visit to The Hague Baramidze, according to his press office, will meet with the Foreign Minister and Minister of Defense of the Netherlands.

Alasania, according to his press office, during the visit will meet with officials from the Netherlands Foreign Ministry and will then travel to Berlin to meet with officials from the Chancellor Merkel’s office on May 11.
