Georgia will offer Singapore’s state investment companies to study possibility of investing in Georgia’s hydro power sector and oil refinery business, said Nika Gilauri, who is visiting Singapore this week.

He will meet with senior executives from Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and state investor Temasek Holdings on May 19.

“We want to focus on hydro power plants, as it also represents one of the directions these companies are working on and another one is oil refineries. These will be two areas which we will propose Temasek and GIC” for possible investments, PM Gilauri said.

On May 18 the Georgian PM met with his counterpart Lee Hsien Loong and President of Singapore Sellapan Ramanathan Nathan.
