Police called on “non-participants” of the ongoing rally outside the Georgian Public Broadcaster on the Kostava Street to stay away from the protest site in order to prevent incidents similar to the one that occurred earlier on May 22.

“On behalf of the Interior Ministry I want to call on the citizens – those who are not participating the ongoing rallying – to refrain from movement outside the public broadcaster in order to prevent incidents. Those who are participants of the rally, of course, have all the rights to go there. I also want to request drivers to refrain from moving across that area,” Shota Utiashvili, head of the Interior Ministry’s information and analytical department, said.
