The Interior Ministry said on June 2, that it had “foiled a terrorist act” masterminded by Abkhaz-based two Russian security officers. The ministry said in a brief statement that the police arrested in Samegrelo region, which borders with breakaway Abkhazia, a woman and a man, both residents of the Gali district, who were carrying unspecified explosive. The Georgian Interior Ministry also said that the two were acting upon the instructions of the Abkhaz-based Russian special service officers, who were named as Igor Vlasov and Sergey Kuzma. |
