A career diplomat, Nikoloz Rtveliashvili, was approved on the post of ambassador to Denmark. Most recently he was head of security policy and Euro-Atlantic integration department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Georgia’s ambassador to China will become Mamuka Gamkrelidze, host of a Georgian version of TV game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in which celebrities play for charity.

In 2010 Gamkrelidze founded a company, Global Media Group (GMG) providing six TV channels via cable networks. He owned 85% of GMG shares as of March, 2011, rest is owned by a firm founded by former head of the Georgian public broadcaster Levan Kubaneishvili.
