Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze met on August 17 with officials from the Swiss foreign ministry “to prepare” for the next round of the Swiss-mediated WTO talks with Russia in mid-September, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.

During the meeting in which Georgian negotiators in WTO talks with Russia also participated “the potential for approximating positions” of Russia and Georgia were discussed, the Foreign Ministry said.

The issue of “normal and unimpeded" functioning of the Georgian Interests Section of the Swiss Embassy in Moscow was also discussed, it said.
