2011 Real GDP Growth 6.8% - Geostat

Georgia’s economy grew at 8.1% annual rate in the final three months of last year, the fastest growth in 2011, according to the preliminary figures released by the Georgian state statistics office, Geostat, on January 30.

Real GDP growth for full year of 2011 was 6.8%, Geostat said.

The agency said it would release more details about GDP figures on March 20.

2011 first quarter GDP growth was 5.8% year-on-year, slowing to 4.7% in the second quarter and accelerating to 7.5 in the third quarter.
