Merabishvili's Visit to Minsk

Georgia’s Interior Minister, Vano Merabishvili, visited Minsk on February 5-7 and met with chief of newly established Investigative Committee of Belarus, the Georgian Interior Ministry said in a brief press release on Tuesday.

It said that Merabishvili and Valeri Vakulchik, the director of Investigative Committee of Belarus, signed a cooperation agreement.

Vakulchik said that the meeting was “fruitful”, that will help to increase cooperation between the two countries, adding, that Georgia had a positive experience in reforming law enforcement agencies, which could be useful for his country too.
