German Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwelle, will visit Tbilisi on March 15 as part of his trip to three South Caucasus states to discuss with leadership of these countries cooperation with EU, regional conflicts, as well as bilateral cooperation in economy and energy issues and human rights situation, the German Federal Foreign Office said. Westerwelle, who will arrive in Tbilisi from Baku and then travel to Yerevan, will meet with President Saakashvili; Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and Georgia’s ex-president Eduard Shevardnadze. According to the German embassy in Tbilisi, during the visit the German Foreign Minister will also meet with a group of civil society representatives and will also deliver a speech at the Tbilisi State University about relations between the EU and the South Caucasus countries. |
