A six-member U.S. Congressional delegation, led by Representative Bill Shuster, will be visiting Georgia on July 2-4 “to discuss U.S.-Georgian relations”, the U.S. embassy in Tbilisi said on Monday.

Apart of Republican Congressman Shuster, the delegation also includes Democrat Congressman Jason Altmire; Republican Congressmen Brett Guthrie; Jeff Denham; Blake Farenthold and Adam Kinzinger.

The delegation plans to meet with President Saakashvili and Deputy Defense Minister Nodar Kharshiladze.

“The delegation will also meet with opposition leaders, visit a private medical clinic, and observe U.S. and Georgian service members training together in preparation for deployment to Afghanistan as part of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF),” the U.S. embassy said in a press release.
