Moscow Slams OSCE PA Resolution on Georgia
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 14 Jul.'12 / 16:26

Russia’s Foreign Ministry criticized a resolution passed by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for using, as it put it, “hackneyed propagandistic cliché” by referring to breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia as occupied territories.

“We have to note that most of the members of the Assembly still do not want to impartially perceive the realities of the current situation in the Caucasus. Unfortunately, such approach deprives this structure of the OSCE the possibility to make a constructive contribution to strengthening peace and stability in the region,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on July 14.

It also said that the Russian delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was strongly against of this “biased” resolution.
