Tornike Gordadze, who has served as deputy foreign minister for past two years, was appointed as new State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration. Gordadze has replaced Giorgi Baramidze, who is running as ruling party’s majoritarian MP candidate in Batumi. Gordadze, who was a director of Caucasus Studies at the French Institute of Anatolian Studies, joined the government in June, 2010 when he was appointed as Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of EU relations. |
