Russian Border Guards in Abkhazia Report of Uncovering Arms Caches

Russian border guards have found this month four caches of arms and ammunition “while carrying out measures for the protection of Abkhaz-Georgian state border,” Abkhaz news agency, Apsnipress, reported on August 28.

According to this report, a tripod-mounted recoilless gun SPG-9 Kopyo, as well as up to forty grenade launcher rounds of various types and artillery shell were found.

Found arms and ammunition have been destroyed, Apsnipress reported citing a statement of a press office of the Russian border guards unit stationed in Abkhazia.
