Outgoing government posted on its website on October 16 a two-sentence statement saying that “today acting PM Vano Merabishvili departed abroad for a two-day visit.”

“Vano Merabishvili will be back to Georgia on October 18,” it said.

The statement does not say which country Merabishvili, who became United National Movement’s secretary general on October 15, is visiting.
