Chief executive officer and chairman of board of directors of the state-owned, Georgian Railway, Irakli Ezugbaia, has resigned after seven years of service on the post.

Ezugbaia, who became head of the country’s one of the largest enterprise at the age of 26 in October, 2005, said in a statement on October 22, that the Georgian Railway “has turned into a successful company over the past seven years.”

“As a chief executive officer, I assume the responsibility for all the issues and decisions made by the board of directors throughout these years,” he said.
